PERIPHERALS

3D Controller
The 3D controller was released with the NiGHTS into Dreams game and added a analog joystick to the control pad as well as analog shoulder buttons. Segas next console the Dreamcast has a controller that looks very much like the design here. I really love the joy stick here it feels very comfortable it really makes me wish some of my favorite fighting games supported this pad. In contrast to the analog stick I found the D-pad to be of lesser quality when compared to the model 1 and model 2 controllers. In any game that supports this controller it is ideal to use it most notable would be the racing games.
Advanced World War Sennen Teikoku no Koubou
Aris Adventure

Light Gun

The light gun sadly will not work with any newer TVs the technology only works on older CRT sets. See the list of games that are light gun compatible below:

Die Hard Trilogy
Henry Explorers
Mechanical Violator Hakaider
Scud The Disposable Assassin

Multi-Tap
The multi-tap allows you to connect up to 6 controllers into one controller port.
I found it very difficult to find info on the games that are compatible with the multi-tap but here is a list of what I have found so far. If you know of any others please let me know in the comments section and I will add it.

Twin Stick Controller
I cant begin to explain how much fun and how cool playing with this controller is. This controller was only released in Japan making it a little hard to get it state side and can usually go for $50-$100 on ebay. The Twin Stick makes any game that is compatible so much better, they just feel so right and they really enhance the gaming experience. Supported games:

SegaNet Adapter (Japan)

In order to play games online in Japan you needed to have the SegaNet/X-Band adapter. This adapter was a 14.4kbps modem that due to the servers being taken down for sometime now, is no longer supported. I always wondered if it was possible to play someone from Japan from the US using the NetLink but I guess I wont be able to try that out anymore. Supported games:

Habitat II
Pad Nifty
Virtua Fighter Remix for SegaNet

NetLink Adapter (USA)

The adapter that connected Saturn gamers in the mid to late 90's still works today, however both players will need to have analog phone service (VoIP and magic jacks will not work). Unlike the Japanese version this one is a 28.8kbps connection and the way it works is basically one Saturn makes a phone call to another Saturn that is set to accept an incoming call on the line. Don't let the speed of the connection put you off because its a direct link there is almost no lag and the gaming experience is very fun. If you still have a analog land line this is definatly worth picking up as there is still a strong community playing these games. The only issue is that the library of compatible games is limited to only 5, but all of them are good games. Supported games:

Daytona USA C.C.E NetLink Edition
