Unfortunately while Shining Force III: Scenario 1 was released in Japan, Europe and the USA the second game was only released in Japan and if you do not understand the language you will not be able to get very far in this one. Scenario 2 takes place at the same time as the first game and the cool thing about the sequel is that you play as the characters you ran across in the first game. If you have a save file from the first game you can load that and it will take the choices you made in that one and incorporate them in to the story here.
